Marie
Support Teacher
Marie’s relationship with yoga began as a lifeboat—guiding her through transformation, loss, and self-discovery. She teaches from lived experience, offering grounded, practical, and playful practices that support resilience, self-trust, and reconnection to the body.
Yoga entered Marie’s life during a time of deep transformation and became a steady companion through heartbreak, death and rebirth, the search for belonging, and the unfolding of her own becoming. This lived experience shapes how she teaches—rooted not in memorization, but in embodiment.
Marie has completed over 1,200 hours of training across multiple lineages, including asana, yogic philosophy, kirtan & Naad Yoga, Ayurvedic medicine, and Marma Chikitsa—the study of vital energy points. Her studies have taken her to sacred learning spaces in India, Thailand, Costa Rica, and her own local landscapes, each offering lessons in humility, devotion, and curiosity.
These teachings have become the foundation of how Marie lives, breathes, moves, and relates to nature and the body. She carries this wisdom quietly, sharing it only when useful. Her intention is to offer practices that are steady and grounded, practical yet playful—inviting students to remember their innate intelligence, resilience, and capacity to return to themselves again and again.

FAQ
What style of Yoga will we do?
The two main styles we will be focusing on is Hatha Yoga and Yin Yoga. Both are done from a holistic, conscious approach where we learn to move the body from the inside out.
I am already a certified teacher, is this still for me?
If you are already a certified yoga teacher, we still highly recommend this training. Most entry level YTT’s do not cover the depth and breadth of what we offer here. Transformative yoga practice requires a deeper understanding of yoga teachings and methods that are not taught in most trainings. If you want to upgrade your practice and up-level your teaching beyond the average you will find a lot of value in this immersion.
What are the pre-requisites for the program?
This intensive will be a comprehensive deep-dive and we will cover many dimensions of yoga that go beyond the physical postures. Though it is not a pre-requisite for you to have any previous yoga training experience, we do recommend at least one year of experiential practice.
When is the start time and end time of the program?
This is an 8-week hybrid online and in-person program.
April 18 – May 2
Online foundations and theory: live workshops, lectures, and guided study
May 2 – 31
In-person immersion at Awake in Uvita, Costa Rica: practice, philosophy, embodiment, and community living
June 1 – 15
Online practicum and mentorship: integration and teaching experience
This hybrid pathway ensures trainees arrive well-prepared and leave fully grounded—equipped with the knowledge and confidence necessary to guide others safely and skillfully.
What is the daily schedule?
This is an 8-week hybrid online and in-person program. The online component (live and recorded) runs Wednesday and Saturday over two-weeks prior to and following the in-person curriculum. These live calls run from 9am-3pm EST.
The in-person training runs from 6 am-6pm Monday-Saturday.
Evenings are for rest, reflection, study, and homework. Sundays are off days. Homework (practice, readings and resources) will also be assigned for these times.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can pay in full or pay a $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot and complete your payment in full 30 days prior to the start date of the training. If there is an emergent situation and you do need to cancel, follow instructions below.
